Sbarro

Sbarro

After so many weeks of dreaming of their deep dish pizza and eggplant parmigiana, we finally decided to eat at Sbarro’s. The restaurant is well cared for and clean to the dot. Regardless of the fact that the diner itself wouldn’t compare to the branch

Royal Krua Thai

Last night while we were at SM, we discovered that our favorite Korean restaurant closed down for good. Granted it was late and mom was hungry, we settled for the next best thing: Royal Krua Thai. The place improved since my last visit here, particularly

Taste of Mandarin

Taste of Mandarin

Planning to grab a bite to eat before heading to the bowling alley, my family decided to celebrate my graduation this May by eating out in a fancy Chinese restaurant. The restaurant, dubbed “A Taste of Mandarin”, has spacious room for groups with an authentic ambiance to match. The attendants are dressed in long silk robes with varying colors to complete the guests’ dining experience.

During our brief stay, we availed one of their set meal promos comprised of Yang Chow fried rice, rice noodles, beef with broccoli, honey lemon chicken and chili spare ribs. Of course, since we were already at a Chinese restaurant, we couldn’t help it but add additional orders of specialties such as Patatim (roasted and stewed pork leg served with buns), Peking Duck (served two ways, fried and diced) and Crispy Noodles.

By far, this is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to.

For Valentines, my sister and I went out as early as 10am to Ayala to avoid the rush. Fortunately, only a handful of people were there, busy finding presents for their special someone. Flowers and chocolates were at a rage, and several people were in

kfc Double down
jollibee chicken barbecue

KFC’s newest addition to its plethora of chicken dishes, the Double Down, is a popular menu item for people on a diet and those who prefer to skip on carbohydrates. This special sandwich is composed of two big strips of chicken meat with a layer of bacon and a slice of cheese furnished with a hearty serving of mayo and a side dish of one’s own wish. I found the meat somewhat salty and the mayo not to my liking.

If KFC has the double down, Jollibee boasts its new Jollibee Chicken barbecue, a mixture of sweetish and spicy chicken served with a cup of lemon and soy sauce dip. I’ve read some negative reviews about this product and was a bit discouraged. Anyhow, I tried it regardless, and was somewhat satisfied with its taste. If you’re not a spicy food enthusiast, you’d like this for its very mild spicy flavor.

KFC has probably the best chicken between the two. The Double Down is a perfect combination of ingredients and

One sunny afternoon in IT park, my sister and I had this strong craving to try the new Thai restaurant in The Walk to break free from the usual food we eat. From the outside, Blue elephant seems to be a casual dining place amidst

Sushi Kushi San3

Sushi Kushi San3

Last night we ate at this cozy Japanese restaurant for dinner. The waiter immediately offered us hot tea or cold glass of water. Since it is getting cold outside, we chose hot tea. =)

They have an array of tempting dishes from sashimi, sushi, maki, rolls, soup, bentos and many more. We were served fried tuna roll with oyster sauce and Japanese mayo as appetizer, complements from the chef. It was perfect.

I ordered gyudon to compare it with the one in Mitsuwa. After tasting it, I could not decide though which one beats the other. I guess they are 5 stars both.

I’m definitely going back to this restaurant to taste their platter of sushi and sushi rolls.

Tita Julies’s Fastfood

Julies Fastfood dates back to its humble beginnings as an expansion idea of a bakeshop owner. With plenty of other bakers sprouting here and there, the dream became a reality. Of course, the bakery is still strong as ever, regardless of how many other competitors

Wakamatsu Yakiniku

Wakamatsu Yakiniku

This unique all you can eat Japanese style restaurant has tables equipped with grills well as an overhead movable exhaust fan that suck the smoke out of each individual dining area. Their menu consists of a mix between Korean and Japanese cold cuts as well as raw food. Of course, depending on how much one can eat, any customer can order as much as they want.

The restaurant boasts its wide assortment of US, Aussie, Korean and Japanese meat, not to mention some seafood and a side dish of kimchi on the side. They also have traditional sake and shoju, in addition to local drinks, juices and shakes.

Verdict:
A = 4/5
I can’t really say much about the food because the customer decides how he wants his meat.I have to reiterate that they serve bowls of delicious Korean cold noodles.
