i had an interesting experience of dining in a castle while watching knights jousting. no knives and forks were served with the food. we had to eat with our bare hands. the dinner started with tomato soup and a piece of garlic bread as starter.

on our way from iowa back to chicago, we stopped by for dinner at galena, illinois. galena’s main street at night is nice and quaint. we went inside the “galena canning company” shop. it offers a wide range of tasty condiments, sauces, dips and spreads.
